Disabled People’s Creative Exchange at Factory International
In August 2025 for an event with Factory International and Venture Arts, we created Collective Sound Space, where visitors could explore sound through our accessible, communal instruments. Designed with inclusivity at its heart, the space offered a gentle, sensory-friendly experience that encouraged play, creativity, and connection for people of all abilities.
Breaking down barriers to music-making and celebrating sound as a universal language. We gathered valuable feedback on accessibility and design, which we are now using to refine the instruments and develop new, more inclusive ways for people to interact with sound.
An Open Exhibition Inspired by A Strange Kind Of Love
In May 2025, we hosted another exhibition night, this time inspired by A Strange Kind Of Love. With more eclectic performances including music, poetry, performance art and 14 original pieces of artwork for our exhibition wall.
An Open Exhibition Inspired by Memories
In December 2024, we hosted another exhibition night, this time inspired by Memories. We again shared an open call and received even more interest, with over 40 local artists showcasing a range of work from visual art to performances, live music, storytelling and poetry.
We also created a nostalgic packed lunch menu with a unique toy in each, games with prizes and other surprises. A celebration of creativity and connection through memory.
The night was rounded off by us showcasing the latest communal instrument prototype, where we invited the audience to interact and play with.
The Memory Instrument
Inspired by the past, this prototype communal instrument uses fidget spinners and magnets to make soft ambient pads, a Wallace and Gromit themed theremin to sing a melody and a hand sensor, to strum a synthesised guitar.
Acoustic elements like the kalimba and slinky bring a natural, organic feel with the sampled drum machine and secret buttons allowing the user to make rhythmic beats that might sound familiar.
We reached out to our community and received voice notes of memories from friends and strangers, which we used an old telephone to trigger, to share in the beauty of the world, the mundane and our interconnectedness.

An Open Exhibition of Bagel Inspired Art
An open call exhibition at 99 Reasons, where 22 artists showcased their art, poetry, sculpture, live music, edible art, games and more. We designed a plant based menu that sold out and received rave reviews.
We also made the first prototype of an interactive communal instrument, featuring five MIDI controlled bagels that allowed the user to play a theremin, bass, drums and bugle.
Spinning Plates
We have also hosted regular small plate nights at 99 Reasons, with menus inspired from different parts of the world; where we have showcased how plant based food can be nutritious, delicious and affordable.
We also introduced a communal music element to the night by asking the community to bring their own records to play throughout the night.
